This is the first post of my daily blogging. Goal: Attempt to loose 27+ pounds by the time we embark on our cruise. I have 67 days until our 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise. I refuse to step foot on the ship as the same weight I was last year when we sailed on the Allure of the Seas. A weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week is the typical recommendation. I am shooting for 3+ pounds a week for the next 9 weeks.
For the first time in a while I woke up this morning and didn’t feel like Peter from Office Space so, that’s a good sign right? For those of you who have not seen it, watch it! We saw it the other day for the 1st time in a WHILE and I realized just about all the silly one liners I say regularly are from this movie! I know it’s from 1999 but its a classic. Today I took a 30 min. walk up the New River. I haven’t done that in a while because I always felt so tired but I’m always so tired because I don’t move. I had all sorts of tasks in my head when I was driving home. I wanted to make a healthy dinner, prepare lunch for tomorrow, prepare some extra food to last a few days so we don’t go out almost every night and end up getting fried, horrible and vegetable-less food, and actually continue the “Exercise in the City” silliness where I would watch a few episodes and work out to them.
What actually happened
I got home to find that the dogs messed the house in a few different places. I guess they are sick so that wasn’t fun. Since I was cleaning I decided to sweep the house and wash dishes. After relaxing for a little bit I got up and made a sensible dinner. It was ravioli and leftover shrimp cream sauce with mushrooms and peas, but it was a small portion.
Robert wanted a beer so I suggested we ride our bicycles to the beach and get one at our favorite dive bar on the board walk. His knee is still hurting him so we took the car to a different bar and just had 1 beer.
When we came home I saw one of the dogs had another accident in the house. Poor baby who ever it is. I did some laundry, folded all the clothes in the laundry basket and I am in bed writing this ready to go to sleep. Not a terrible day 1.
