I Quit My Job

If you want change in your life, you have to actually change something. So I did. I quit my job. My emotional and physical health are way more important. Your health isn’t what you should sacrifice in life. Everything else should be sacrificed so you can be healthy in all ways. Yes sometimes you have to do what you have to do but there is a limit. For me, that limit was exceeded about a year ago.

I weighed in yesterday and I can’t believe how I’ve let it get this far. Your comfort zone is a dangerous place. Stay in there to long, you won’t even realize what has happened until its to late. May 10, 2016 I made my first blog post Goals, Jewelry and Cruises. Robert and I booked my first cruise. Him having heard me say “I need to lose weight…I need to workout more” all the time, made a deal with me. If I set a goal and meet that goal, he would buy me an expensive piece of jewelry I can wear on the cruise. Well, not only did I not reach that goal, I also gained 15 pounds since then.

I knew I may have gained a little more weight since then because some of my clothes got a little tighter but I didn’t realize how much until I started writing this post. That just might be what I needed to see to piss me off enough to motivate me and not lose sight of what I came here to do!

I don’t know what’s next yet but I feel like it is something better. Here’s to the beginning of something wonderful. Talk to you soon!

Way to go on listening and taking care of yourself. I think all of us could use a little more of this in our lives!

Thanks! I’m so happy I finally got the courage to do it. I hope this motivates others. Not necessarily in such a drastic way like I did but little things in life that need change. 🙂

[…] rotator cuff. On a lighter note, I lost 5 pounds so far. That makes it a total of 12 pounds since I Quit My Job (<- click to read that awesome post!). Not what I was hoping for but at least I didn’t […]
